Does It Fit?
What Fits in a 14×20 Unit — and What Doesn't
The Large unit solves two problems the Medium can’t: wider boats and taller rigs. If your boat has a T-top, a tower, or a beam wider than 8 feet, this is where to start.
What Fits
- Bass boats 19 to 22 feet the 14-foot width handles most hull widths at this length with room to work around the boat
- Ski boats and wakeboard boats up to 22 feet including boats with towers up to 8'6" in height
- Pontoon boats up to 22 feet the 14-foot width accommodates standard pontoon deck widths where the Medium cannot
- Center console boats up to 22 feet including hardtop center consoles within clearance
- Boats with T-tops the 8'6" clearance is the key upgrade over the Medium unit
- Boats with wakeboard towers measure your tower height with the boat on the trailer before reserving
What Doesn't Fit
- Boats over 22 feet total rig length including trailer tongue typically exceeds 20 feet at this size. Look at the Extra-Large unit with 28 feet of length
- Wide pontoons with extended furniture or canopies some larger pontoons exceed 14 feet in accessory width. Measure beam plus any over-hanging fixtures
- Small watercraft jet skis and boats under 19 feet fit in the Medium unit at $25 less per month
Not sure if your boat fits? Measure your total rig length from hitch pin to bow, and measure your rig height from the ground to the highest point on the trailer. If both are within 20 feet and 8’6″, the Large works.
Medium vs. Large
Two Reasons to Choose the Large Unit
More width for wider boats.
The Medium unit is 9 feet wide. Most single-hull fishing boats fit comfortably. But mid-size pontoons, wider bass boats, and boats with outboard motors that extend the beam often don’t. The Large unit’s 14-foot width resolves that — giving you space to open the door, walk around the rig, and get gear in and out without fighting the walls.
More clearance for taller rigs.
The Medium unit has 6’8″ of clearance. That works for most basic fishing boats and personal watercraft. The Large unit has 8’6″ — enough for a T-top, a wakeboard tower, a hard top, or any other rigging that sits above the hull. If your boat has anything above the windshield, measure it before choosing the Medium.

Questions About the Large Unit
Before You Reserve
My boat is 21 feet. Will it fit in the Large unit?
Yes. A 21-foot boat on a standard trailer typically measures 23 to 25 feet tip-to-stern including the trailer tongue — which exceeds the Large unit’s 20-foot length. We recom-mend measuring your total rig length before reserving. If you’re over 20 feet total, the Ex-tra-Large unit at 28 feet is the right fit.
My pontoon is 20 feet. Will the width work?
Most 20-foot pontoons have a deck width of 8 to 8.5 feet, which fits within the Large unit’s 14-foot opening. However, some pontoons have accessories — furniture rails, canopy frames, or extended furniture — that push the total width past 14 feet. Measure the widest point of your pontoon including any overhanging fixtures before reserving.
My boat has a wakeboard tower. What should I measure?
With the boat sitting on the trailer as it normally travels — tower up, not folded — measure from the ground to the highest point of the tower. If that number is under 8’6″, the Large unit clears it. Most standard wakeboard towers fall between 7 and 8.5 feet above ground when trailered.
Is the Large unit worth the extra $25 over the Medium?
If your boat has a T-top, a tower, or a beam over 9 feet, yes — the Medium won’t work for you regardless of price. If your boat is under 19 feet with no overhead rigging and a narrow hull, the Medium at $125/month is the better value. The Large is specifically built for the size range and rig height where the Medium falls short.
Is there a minimum rental period?
No. All units are month-to-month with no minimum commitment. Cancel with notice as outlined in your rental agreement.
